Sports Talents

Sports Talents

Sports Talents is a joint program between Eurofootball and the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation (WCIF). It aims to support young sports talents to develop their skills and realize their potential in their chosen discipline. Every year, the program provides free funding to athletes in individual sports. The funds are for equipment, training camps, competitions, recovery, and more. In addition to financial, the support for athletes is also personal. The program creates a motivating environment for talents, where they can unleash their potential – professional and personal.

Over the past two years, the supported talents have participated in interactive public speaking training. Thanks to them, young athletes develop skills for an impactful presentation of their achievements in front of different audiences, as well as confidence in their own abilities. The program ensures publicity for the achievements of talents in the media space. Moral support is an additional effect for talents – on the one hand, because they had people and organisations who believe in their abilities, and on the other – they can count on support regardless of the results they achieve.

The cooperation between the WCIF and Eurofootball under the Sports Talents program began in 2012. As a result, the company has donated over 750,000 leva in support of 159 hopes of Bulgarian sports.

After many years of joint work between Eurofootball and WCIF, the results can be seen – numerous successes in Bulgarian, international tournaments and at the Olympics. Here are some of the talents of WCIF and Eurofootball:

• Badminton player Mariya Delcheva won a gold medal in the mixed team tournament at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires – Argentina in October 2018;

• Weightlifter Hristo Hristov won an Olympic silver medal in the over 85 kg category at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires – Argentina in October 2018;
