From March 1, 2025, civil society organizations, through an employee of Pepco Bulgaria, can participate in the competition under the PEPCOlandia program. Details of the competition and how to apply will be presented during an online meeting to be held on 6 March 2025.

The program provides funding of up to BGN 2900. for projects aimed at the full use of leisure time for children and young people from all over the country.

The program is implemented for the second consecutive year in Bulgaria with the financial support of Pepco Bulgaria and in partnership with the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation.

Objectives of the program

The program sets the following main objectives:

Providing financial support to civil society organisations to organise local activities for the benefit of children and young people, which may include activities for their leisure time,
Involving Pepco employees in working with civil society organizations and building long-term cooperative relationships,
Development of local communities by providing support and organizing activities for the benefit of children and young people.

Who can apply

The PEPCOlandia program is open to non-governmental organizations established under the Non-Profit Legal Entities Act or the Law on Community Centers, registered on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and with a focus on the development of children and youth.

Important: Those wishing to participate in the competition submit a project proposal through a Responsible Person – an employee of Pepco Bulgaria. The employee can be working both in the retail network of the chain and in the company’s head office.

Important: The inclusion of Pepco employees as key participants in the application process is aimed at empowering and stimulating the active search and selection of a cause chosen by the employees themselves. you disrupt the process of working with employees in Pepco stores when trying to apply for the Pepco program. This does not exclude the possibility of civil society organizations contacting Pepco employees from their community, but the approach should be professional, unobtrusive and respectful of employees, who can decide for themselves whether to participate in the program and which cause to support.

What are the requirements for the projects

The project should be aimed at children and young people up to the age of 18.

Children and young people who will benefit from the project through the applicant must live in the area/municipality where the Pepco employee initiating the project works or lives.

The program will support projects to support children or young people for recreation, hobbies, interests, education, as well as to develop or create a space in which children or young people can spend their free time in a useful and healthy way.

How to apply

If your organization wants to participate in the competition, look for an employee of PEPCO Bulgaria in your locality and present him with your project idea. Discuss together the benefits that your project will bring to the children and young people of your local community, and through this officer, submit the project proposal. Please note that the project can only be submitted by the employee of Pepco Bulgaria, who will be the submitter of your project. The form is submitted to a special internal corporate platform of the company.

When is the application deadline

The deadline for participation in the competition is March 31, 2025.
