Pearl

Objective

The PEARL project aims to promote the participation of young migrants and refugees in decision-making processes and in the democratic life of the EU.

Problem

The PEARL project addresses the problem of the low participation of young migrants and refugees in decision-making processes and in the democratic life of the European Union. These people often face barriers such as lack of access to educational resources, social integration and opportunities for active participation in democratic processes.

Activities

The project develops and implements new educational resources and trains young people in the use of digital democracy tools, while improving their soft skills for better integration. In addition, the project increases the capacity of youth workers and civil society organizations to stimulate the active participation of young migrants in public life.

Who is behind the PEARL Project

The PEARL project is implemented by partners, institutions and non-profit organizations from various European countries – Bulgaria (Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation), France (ANI – International), Germany (Compass GmbH), Greece (Greek Forum of Refugees), Greece (KMOP), Italy (TAMAT ETS), Spain (University of Barcelona). The project is funded under the Erasmus+ program, through the Agency du Service Civique.

Results

The project covered not only migrants and refugees, but also the specialists who work with them. In our country, more than 120 migrants and refugees benefited from the tools developed within the project: a training course for young migrants and refugees, a toolkit for youth workers addressing the lack of specialized tools for working with the specific group and a digital space for participation, consisting of a forum and an online magazine.
