Roma Policy Lab is a joint initiative of the operator of the Active Citizens Fund Bulgaria and the National Coordination Unit for presenting, sharing and discussing results of projects in favor of Roma inclusion, financed under the programs of the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
The initiative was launched in June 2021 with an expert discussion on the topic of building and maintaining trust in vaccines and vaccination in Roma communities, a topic provoked by the spread of fake news related to the coronavirus and countering its spread with vaccines.
A platform Romapolicylab.org has also been created, which brought together projects supported under the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014 – 2021, and directly or indirectly related to the topics of the Roma Policy Lab.
In 2023 the initiative’s website featured a total of 140 publications with results from completed projects related to Roma inclusion.
The successful practices derived from the projects provide valuable information that helps improve the social and economic integration of Roma.
