Among the important evaluation criteria are objectivity and a non-standard approach to the coverage of the topics. An independent jury consisting of leading journalists will select the winners, as well as this year’s winner of the Grand Prix “Valya Krushkina”.
The application is done by sending a completed form to the e-mail address: konkurs@frgi.bg by October 31, 2025 .
In addition to the emblematic pears, the winners will have the opportunity to participate in the “Journalists at School” initiative. Thanks to her, journalists associated with the awards meet with young people from all over the country to share exciting stories from their professional experience and answer topical questions.
In the 13 editions of the competition so far, more than 620 journalists with more than 1400 materials have been nominated. The Valya Krushkina Awards – Journalism for the People have established themselves as a standard for quality journalism and are accepted as a prestigious recognition by both the journalists’ guild and the general public.
The awards named after Valya Krushkina, as well as the initiative “Journalists at School” are part of the activities of the Valya Krushkina Fund, established under the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation in 2012.
