Nearly 80 representatives of civil society organizations from all over the country took part in the first online webinar for the competition under the Code Success Fund, noting significant interest in the funding opportunities offered by the fund.
The event was held on February 24 and brought together civil society organizations and community centers actively working at the local level and showing interest in initiatives in support of democracy, the values of the European Union and human rights.
During the webinar, the participants received detailed information about the application conditions, eligibility criteria and basic requirements for project concepts. Technical guidelines were also provided for filling in and submitting the form in order to facilitate the process and improve the quality of the proposals.
Within the framework of the event, a thematic session for capacity building was held on the topic “Democracy and EU values”, which aimed to expand the knowledge of the participants and stimulate ideas for initiatives strengthening civic participation and democratic culture in local communities.
All those who have not been able to participate have the opportunity to register for the second webinar, which will be held on February 27 at 10:30 a.m.

Competition under the “Code Success” Foundation
From February 16, 2026, civil society organizations and community centers have the opportunity to turn their ideas into real and sustainable initiatives through the Code Success Fund. Small community-based organisations working to promote democracy, human rights and EU values are particularly encouraged.
With a total budget of €450,000, the fund provides a chance for local organizations to implement projects that have a real impact and strengthen civic participation in the community.

PACT Project
The Code Success Fund is part of the PACT project, which is implemented with financial support from the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program in the amount of EUR 4,264,112.97, equal to 90% of its budget. The funding institution is the European Education and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA), according to the powers delegated to it by the European Commission.
The project is implemented by a consortium including: 1) Open Society Institute – Sofia Foundation (EIA), 2) Workshop for Citizens’ Initiatives Foundation (WCIF), 3) The European Citizen Action Service, in Bulgarian: International Non-Governmental Association “European Citizen Action Service” (ECAS). The members of the consortium co-financed the implementation of the Project with EUR 258,588, equal to 10% of its total value.
