Doni Georgiev is a recent addition to the WCIF team, where he holds the position of coordinator of monitoring and communications. He comes from the cultural sector, where he has gained extensive experience in organising various cultural events, often aimed at community development and active citizenship. His work is guided by the belief that building an active civil society requires the formation of individuals and communities who understand political processes, who are interested in their functioning, history, and philosophy, and work together to develop a civic culture. He believes that culture, whether civic or other, is an integral part of societal development.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences with a double major in Humanities and Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, as well as a Master’s degree in Film Studies and Photographic Studies with courses completed at Leiden University.
