Today, the Civil Society Development Council (CSC) held a regular meeting at which decisions were adopted related to the regulatory framework, strategic planning and improving the access of civil society organizations to funding.
Two opinions were adopted by consensus during the meeting:
• under the Transparency in Representation of Interests Act, in relation to which a by-law is being prepared;
• on the draft Law on Combating Corruption among Persons Holding Public Office.
The SRGS also adopted a position on the need for a Law on the Promotion of Volunteering.
As part of the work on the preparation of the Strategy, it was decided to conduct a survey among civil society organizations. It was also decided to establish an interinstitutional working group to propose solutions for the implementation of state aid rules (de minimis), which currently limit the access of civil society organizations to European funding. The next steps in the activities of the working group on the Fund for Support of Civil Society organizations were also discussed.
The CBRS continues to function as a platform for dialogue between institutions and the civil sector, maintaining a focus on concrete policies and practical solutions to support the development of civil society.
