„Study iT First“ is a scholarship program of SAP Labs Bulgaria, implemented in cooperation with Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation. The program supports motivated young people in the early educational phases and facilitates their successful professional and career development. The second edition of the program was launched in 2016 in which 12 new scholarships were given to promising university students. The approved fellows are chosen after a contest in which 136 candidates participated. Approved students receive a monthly scholarship for one academic year, with an option to extend the period into a second year provided the fellow has attained excellent results. In addition to that there is an opportunity to acquire additional knowledge and skills with the assistance of a personal mentor, specialized in the field of software development, as well as an additional opportunity for internship in the summer at SAP Labs Bulgaria. A total of 7 fellows, supported in the first edition of the program in 2015, successfully graduated the first academic year and continue their scholarships with „Study iT First”.
