Supports the education and career development of first-year students studying IT at a Bulgarian university.
The Study iT First scholarship program supported 13 first-year students studying IT at a Bulgarian university to focus on their education and gain opportunities for professional development.
The program provides a monthly scholarship of BGN 400 for two academic years, acquisition of key IT knowledge, skills and work practices with the assistance of a personal mentor and an opportunity for an internship at SAP Labs Bulgaria.
The goal of Study iT First is to support motivated young people at the early stage of their bachelor’s degree studies, as well as to facilitate their successful professional development and realization through consulting, mentoring and the opportunity for an internship in the specialty.
The competition under the program was implemented a month before the start of the new academic year 2015-2016. Within one month, 317 students from all over the country submitted applications. After several interviews, 13 of them became part of the program. The official launch of the program was given during an official event, where the fellows met their mentors.
Study iT First was first implemented in 2015 by the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation with the financial support of SAP Labs Bulgaria.
