Yesterday WCIF celebrated its 25th birthday together with friends, partners and supporters. And as with any good birthday, there were also gifts.

Among the gifts for the 25th birthday of WCIF there was one that made us smile even before we opened it.

Our friends from the Parents Association gave us a jar with 25 wishes!

25 small messages that we read one by one. About the people we meet on the way. About bold ideas. About trust. About what we have built so far and about what is yet to come.

They wished us even more bold ideas, to always find people with whom dreams can become reality, and not to run out of curiosity, stubbornness and sense of humor – because, as our colleagues have very accurately noted, for the NGO sector, all three are life-saving.

And since the next 25 have already begun, we will keep these wishes nearby. For the days when we need a little smile, courage or just a reminder why it’s worth it.

And in order to make sure that we will have something to work with to make them come true, our friends from the Bulgarian Donors’ Forum made sure that the “Workshop” would not be left without tools.

We were given a wrench with a special purpose – “For repairing system challenges.”

The wishes are with us. The tool too. For the next 25 we are ready.

We have been connecting good people for 25 years. And sometimes good people give us a wish for a trip – and the right tool when there is something to correct on the way.
