More than 60 representatives of the 33 civil society organizations with approved concepts under the Code Success Fund participated in a two-day capacity building training organized within the framework of the PACT project. The main goal of the training was to support the organizations in the next important step of the competition – the development of the full project proposals with which they will apply in the second stage. Through practical exercises, feedback and work on real cases, participants were given the tools and confidence to turn their ideas into well-structured, realistic and sustainable projects with the potential for long-term impact.
The participants were divided into two groups. The first group passed the training on June 16 and 17, and the second – on June 19 and 20.
The 33 organizations are from 23 different settlements in the country, reflecting the wide geographical coverage and diversity of the civil sector. Nearly 35% of them are based in small settlements with a population of less than 30,000 people, including the villages of Raduil, Ezerets, Malomirovo, Shatrovo and Kurtovo Konare.
The majority of organizations with approved concepts are under thematic priority “Democracy” -19, followed by “Diversity and Equality” 12, and 2 concepts aimed at “EU Rights”.
Within five working sessions, the organizations examined the key elements of successful project planning – from problem formulation and needs analysis, through the logic of change, stakeholders and accessibility, to communications, resources and sustainability of initiatives. The training was entirely practical and gave the participants the opportunity to work on their own concepts, receive expert feedback and further develop their project ideas in real time.
In addition to new knowledge and practical guidance, the training also created a valuable opportunity for meetings between organizations from different settlements and thematic areas. Participants exchanged experiences, shared good practices and challenges from their work and laid the foundations for new partnerships and future collaborations.
The Code Success Fund is managed by the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation and is part of the PACT project. The project is implemented with financial support from the European Union through the Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values (CERV) program.
