A group of young people from the village of Dolgach turn their desire for more sports opportunities into a new volleyball court for the whole community.
More than 50 children from Varna who have survived or are at risk of violence receive support through diving training and psychosocial work. In this way, they overcome fears, build confidence and learn to trust.
Nearly 20 young people from Silistra defend the idea of free school lunch for their peers before the Municipal Council and learn how civic participation can change real policies and human destinies.
What do these stories have in common?
In all of them stands the initiative of young people and communities for a better life, which becomes a reality when they receive support, trust and the opportunity to act.
All of them are part of the 263 initiatives of people and organizations that WCIF supported in 2025.
Last year, WCIF invested BGN 3,370,000 in 81 settlements in the country. 67% of the funds are for initiatives outside Sofia and to small settlements such as Kaloyanovets, Sitovo, Orizare, Stambolovo, Tarnava and others, where an idea often needs only a little support to happen.
For all over 1,800,000 people reached, this means a safer environment at school, more opportunities for development and a greater chance for children to grow up in an environment where they feel supported.
Our work is not measured only in numbers, but in actions that leave a mark on the community.
