Your idea is still waiting. There is less than a week left to turn it into action

There is less than a week left until the end of the contest “Be the best version of yourself”, and maybe your idea is still waiting for its chance.

You may be wondering if it’s good enough. Will anyone hear it? Does it make sense to apply?

The answer is: yes.

Because an idea doesn’t have to be perfect to change something. She just needs someone to believe in her and take the first step.

In the competition “Be the best version of yourself” on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, WCIF gives young people between 18 and 25 years old the opportunity to realize an idea that can change something – for themselves and for the people around them.

If you’re fed up:

  • to hear that “nothing happens”;
  • waiting for someone else to make the change;
  • to have an idea that remains only in your head;

This is the time to act.

What do you get?

The five best ideas will receive funding of 2001 euros to be implemented.

But the competition is not only about funding. It is an opportunity to get support, develop your idea and see how it turns into something real.

Why exactly 2001 euros?

Because 2001 was the year in which the WCIF was established. This amount is a symbol of the beginning and the belief that good ideas can create change in communities.

Still wondering whether to apply? Here are three reasons to get involved:

  1. Because change begins with an idea

Many of the most meaningful initiatives start with a simple question: “What if I try?”. Your idea can be the next step towards solving a problem that you see around you.

  1. ‘Cause you’ll get a chance to do something real

This is not just about plans and good intentions. We are looking for ideas that can be implemented and leave a visible result.

  1. Because the best version of you helps others grow too

The best version of yourself is not only the person who develops personally. She is the person who uses her skills and energy to contribute to others.

We are looking for ideas in areas such as:

  • sports and active lifestyle;
  • ecology and sustainable development;
  • education and personal development;
  • equality and social inclusion;
  • active civic participation;
  • voluntary initiatives, culture and creativity;
  • campaigns for the prevention of violence between and against children and young people.

You can apply alone or with friends who share your cause.

The selected five ideas will be announced on 11 July 2026, the day the WCIF was registered 25 years ago.

The deadline for applications is 30 June 2026, 17:00

Don’t leave your idea just as a thought.
Share it. Develop it. Give it the opportunity to change something.

Be the best version of yourself – not only for yourself, but also for the people around you.
