The programme aims to promote healthy lifestyles in primary school children by providing them with specific knowledge and skills in this area.
The programme focuses on teachers to be trained to teach health topics in the classroom. Alongside this, it is also designed for parents to be supported to apply what they have learnt from children at home.
The initiative includes a specially designed training programme for teachers to help them present the topic of healthy living to students in an interesting and fun way. The programme looks at the topic of healthy living holistically, incorporating both health and nature care. The program also includes a special section to help teachers engage parents in the initiative.
Mentoring support for teachers is also provided, as well as financial support to carry out the learning initiatives with students.
The program is implemented for the first time in Bulgaria in 2024 by the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation in partnership with Parents Association and with the support of Phoenix Pharma.
