The programme aims to contribute to a fuller life for children and young people and their communities by promoting quality leisure time and the development of their talents and potential. The programme focuses on children and young people from vulnerable groups or growing up in smaller communities with limited access to resources.
The programme is targeted at civil society organisations and provides support for the implementation of initiatives for the benefit of children and young people – from STEM training, to art workshops and sports activities, to hiking and eco-initiatives.
In 2024, the Foundation will launch a programme of activities for children and youth. The Pepcolandia programme is implemented for the first time in Bulgaria with the financial support of Pepco Bulgaria and in partnership with the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation.
The first edition of the programme supported the development of the talents and interests of more than 500 children and young people from 11 Bulgarian cities. All of them took part in more than 60 different initiatives – from art workshops, mountain hikes and football training to leadership academies. The initiatives were implemented by 8 civil society organizations in 11 Bulgarian cities. All supported projects were proposed by the company’s employees.
