Robotics for Bulgaria

The “Robotics for Bulgaria” programme is an idea and initiative of the SAP Development Center in Bulgaria and is implemented in partnership with the Workshop for Civic Initiatives Foundation. The program aims to stimulate students’ interest in science and technology. It is aimed at students aged between 10 and 16 and their teachers.

The programme supports motivated teachers to build a robotics team in the school where they teach by providing equipment for the activities of a robotics team, training and the opportunity to participate in robotics competitions.

Thus, the program aims to create habits of teamwork from an early age. Together in a group, students construct and program robots that perform socially relevant missions, develop their first scientific research projects. The philosophy of the initiative is for children to learn new knowledge through experiences.

The program provides training for mentors, online support on the rules of the First Lego League competition, building and programming a Lego Mindstrom robot, collecting and analyzing information on research projects, and training on teamwork and mentoring; equipment for the activities of one team – a Lego set with Mindstorm educations 45544 programmable module and a competition field.
